The ASC’s online conference series are pre-recorded sessions, designed to share knowledge during this time.

If you’d like to hear more from the ASC, please join our emailing list here.

We’re happy to say that the first in this series introduces the non-profit initiative TSAPI.  A new API standard for Transferring Survey data, which has the potential to change our sector for the better.

TSAPI’s strategic objectives are to:

  1. Help preserve & develop MR’s position at the heart of businesses intelligence.
  2. Help improve connectivity within the MR industry.
  3. Help facilitate innovation within the MR industry.
  4. Help ease the connection of MR insights & value, to other industries & sectors.

See below for more info.

Event Schedule

ASC Committee members Monica Kaur and Matt Gibbs are kindly hosting the day.

Location: Hall 1, Building A , Golden Street , Southafrica

Matt Gibbs (Bayes Price) presents how we can all initiate a great leap forward.   He shares the risks of doing nothing, and the opportunities of embracing TSAPI.

In short,  TSAPI will benefit everyone, from larger MR software to smaller-scale innovators, non-MR Tech providers and BI Data Vis systems.  Connecting both patchworks of tech and people.

Location: Hall 1, Building A , Golden Street , Southafrica

Tim Brandwood (CEO Digital Taxonomy) discusses WHAT has been done so far, TSAPI’s development principles, and publicly available code.

He walks through the Swagger area for collaboration, and lays down some rather fetching slap bass in the process.

Location: Hall 1, Building A , Golden Street , Southafrica

Jérôme Sopoçko (Founder of Askia) explains how the TSAPI team are standing on the shoulders of giants, building on accepted standards developed by the great work of others.

He recalls a little industry history, muses on the importance of a “single source of truth” and shares HOW everyone can get involved.

This is for everyone!  Tech developers, MR software, non-MR tech and (especially) clients. We must all demand a TSAPI connection.

Location: Hall 1, Building A , Golden Street , Southafrica

Matt rounds off the TSAPI session by posing the question of WHERE to next? Calling for international collaboration.  This is for everyone.  www.tsapi.net
