Technology now lies at the heart of market, social and opinion research and is essential to the future direction and success of our industry. As an industry, it is vital that we recognise the young superstars we are cultivating, and encourage them to shine. The recent developments of web technologies and rise in social media have shown that the these youngsters now regularly contributes at a strategic level.
The award provided an ideal stage to draw attention to, celebrate and reward the next generation of talent. Each nomination for the Young Research Technologist of the Year required two supporters at the entrant’s own organisation, including one senior director level member of staff. All nominees were under 30 years old and fulfilled the following entry criteria:
- Made an outstanding contribution in research technology that has contributed towards the success of the organisation.
- Gone beyond the call of duty to deliver success often against the odds.
- Been actively involved in improving the technological basis of the survey research industry.
