Whilst failing dismally at becoming a professional musician, Matt thought that a degree in Sociology might just lift his lyrical content from cringeworthy to tolerable. Fortunately for everyone’s ears, it did not. However, the interest in studying a relationship between individuals and their collective was sparked. A hop, skip and a Masters in Sociological Research Methods later led Matt to plunge head-first into the scintillating world of MR.
Matt enjoys the challenge fusing contemporary technique with tried and tested methodology. His two key passions for the industry are knowledge-share, and trying to keep the wonders of high-quality research at the forefront of decision making. He attempts this in part by playing a role on the ASC committee, and presenting at any conferences with a good bar. Some recent appearances include:
2018, Melbourne, AMSRS National Conference: One Step Beyond – The Madness of MR Choice in 2018 (invited speaker)
2018, London, Insights Show: Travel in WA – Informing Perth’s Transport Authority with Geo-mapping & Drop-pin tech
2017, Sydney- AMSRS National Conference: The Robots Are Coming! (Winner – Best Presentation Award)
Matt is MD at Bayes Price – offering data connection, analysis, visualisation & insight to the Market Research & Business Intelligence communities.
